Australian Student Visa Funds Calculator

You need to have enough money that is genuinely available to you to pay for your tuition fees, travel and living costs for you and your accompanying family members while you are in Australia.

Where you need to provide evidence of your financial capacity, you will be able to show this by providing one of the followings:

  • 12 months of funds option:
    • Provide evidence of ownership of funds to cover travel to Australia and 12 months living, tuition and (for school aged children dependants) schooling costs for the student and accompanying family members
    • If you are coming to Australia for a short course for at least 6 months in duration, you will only need to show evidence of funds for the intended period of stay.
  • Annual income option:
    • Provide evidence that you meet the minimum annual income requirement.

Use our unique calculator to see if you have enough funds for an Australian Student visa (using the 12 month of funds option).

Welcome To Our Student Visa Financial Calculator

Use our student visa financial calculator to estimate if you have enough funds for an Australian Student visa.

Where school aged children are included in your student visa application, schooling costs of at least AUD8,296 per year for each child will need to be added to the amount of funds required.

Deduct any prepaid costs and provide evidence of these payments (this should be on your Confirmation of Enrolment or provide receipts). If you are in Australia and your course has already commenced, calculate the course fee payable for the 12 month period commencing from the date on which you lodge your application.
